Primary tabs

Burnett, who titled her talk "MOOCs and Pedagogy," shared her experience and that of Karen Head and a number of Brittain Fellows with MOOCs. Beginning her talk by contextualizing MOOCs as the most recent technology in distance education, Burnett provided Oglethrope faculty with an overview of the MOOC experience, which began in October 2012 when the proposal was submitted to the Gates Foundation and continues with debriefing today. The course itself ran from May 2013 to July 2013.

Composition 2.0 involved 22,000 registered students and almost 15,000 active students as well as 2,942 submitted assignments and 19,571 peer assessments.
