Advocating for Smart Growth:  Lessons Learned and Recommendations for Atlanta by Tom Pelham

Please join us for a lecture by Mr. Tom Pelham, an attorney and certified planner with more than 30 years of experience in Florida's planning and growth management programs.  He served as Florida Department of Community Affairs secretary during the initial implementation of the 1985 Growth Management Act in 1987-1991 and again in 2007-2011.  Using Florida's growth management history, Mr. Pelham will discuss his experiences in advocating for smart growth, lessons learned, and recommendations for Atlanta.  FYI – This is a brown bag lunch (bring your own lunch).
