What is Pre-Teaching?
The Georgia Tech Pre-Teaching Program assists students who are interested in becoming K-12 teachers. Pre-Teaching is a collection of partnerships, courses, and opportunities which can help you explore teaching as a career option. Whether looking for a volunteer opportunity to tutor or searching for a job, Pre-Teaching can help. Undergraduate, graduates, and alumni are all welcome.

What is Horizons Georgia Tech?
Horizons Georgia Tech is as partnership between the Georgia Tech Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing (CEISMC) and Horizons National. Horizons Georgia Tech seeks to help children of limited financial means to find success in school, prevent the Summer Slide, and develop goals for themselves, including high school graduation and participation in post-secondary educational experiences. Horizons is committed to the development of the whole child through experiences that build problem-solving skills, foster awareness of community responsibility, instill respect for oneself and others, and encourage a life-long interest in learning. All Horizons Georgia Tech students learn to swim in order to build confidence and an awareness of safety. The Horizons Georgia Tech Program will serve 1st through 6th graders in 2014. Hands-on and project-based learning of Science,
Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) are core components of the program for the students.
