Architecture Professor Charles Eastman Named to Design Intelligence magazine's 30 Most Admired Educators list

The College of Architecture's Charles Eastman, professor and director of the Digital Building Laboratory, has been named as one of Design Intelligence magazine's 30 Most Admired Educators for 2014. According to the November/December 2013 issue, the honorees were selected with the help of educators and administrators of academic programs in architecture, industrial design, interior design, and landscape architecture. Professor Eastman's citation noted that he is "known as an expert in his field, Chuck Eastman is a leader in research on design computation and technology. His deep knowledge is evident, and students and researchers always appreciate the opportunity to work with and learn from him."

This is the second time in recent years that a faculty member from the College of Architecture has been included in this presitigious group of educators.  Last year, then-dean Alan Balfour was named to the list.
