Exhibit: "Putting the Southeast on the Map"

Primary tabs

This exhibit presents a unique selection of 18th and 19th century maps of the U.S. Southeast and invites the public to explore the private archives of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In conjunction with the map exhibition, two projects involving the Atlanta community offer a contemporary exploration of the antique maps, focusing on time, space, and identity. First, local artists will be paired up with maps from the exhibition to present their own interpretation of the work. Then, local students will have the same opportunity to use the maps as inspiration for self-expression.

This exhibit is part of FranceAtlanta 2013 presented by the Consulate General of France in Atlanta and Georgia Tech. It runs in the Stubbins Gallery at the College of Architecture through November 30, 2013.

Gallery Hours: Mon.-Fri. 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
