Tech to Hold IT Master Plan Town Halls in October

Primary tabs

The IT Master Plan project team has scheduled two town halls to gather additional input from campus stakeholders about information technology needs and concerns. Faculty and students, in particular, are encouraged to participate in one of the following meetings:

  • Oct. 18, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
    Student Success Center, Clary Theater
  • Oct. 24, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Room 100, Scheller College of Business

The information gathered from these town halls will supplement the data gathered to date from more than 200 people and will guide the project team in determining the goals and strategies important to supporting the campus strategic plan. Each town hall will include a brief overview of the master planning project followed by a series of questions for the audience to respond to.

The responses from town halls, focus groups, and interviews conducted earlier this year have helped to identify several key issues regarding IT needs for support of student success, teaching and learning, research, and administrative effectiveness. Stakeholder perspectives about IT at Georgia Tech are important to the development of the master plan, and the project team urges all who have not yet participated in this process to attend.
