Industrial Control Systems Cyber Security Conference

Primary tabs

Industrial control systems make the world go round, every second of every day. Valued at more than $100 billion worldwide, control systems are a large market; but only when considering the economic output (measured in trillions of dollars) and human lives that rely on the continuous performance does the challenge, value and importance of cyber-securing control systems become apparent.

ICS Cyber-Security is the conference where industrial control systems users, ICS vendors, system security providers and government representatives meet to discuss the latest cyber-incidents, analyze their causes and cooperate on solutions. Since its first edition in 2000, the conference has attracted a continually rising interest as both the stakes of critical infrastructure protection and the distinctiveness of securing control systems become increasingly apparent.

The conference pursues three objectives:

  • To inform, through the sharing of cyber-vulnerability accounts, in the trusted setting of the conference.
  • To explain, by analyzing adverse events on ICSs and understanding the interaction of their components
  • To make progress, by presenting and debating organizational, procedural and technical solutions that improve the cyber security of industrial control systems and by allowing users to discuss their needs with vendors in a constructive environment.

ICS Cyber-Security 2012 is organized by Joe Weiss and Christoph Heiss.
