Teaching Kickoff: Beyond Talking — Oral Presentations that Promote Learning

As part of the Fall Teaching Kickoff, David Lawrence of the Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning will deliver a workshop that examines why faculty may not be getting the results they want when students deliver in-class presentations and will focus on how to create and design oral presentation assignments in conjunction with course learning objectives.

Participants will also work on developing student guidelines/expectations for presentations and methods for assessing oral presentations.
