Darrell Glasco is a Managing Partner at Social Mission Architects, an advisory firm that guides organizations and social enterprises to greater financial sustainability and enables them to increase their social impact. Glasco will speak at Georgia Tech's IMPACT Speaker Series on the topic of "Using Capitalism for a Higher Purpose." All are welcome to attend this event or to view the live webcast.

 About the Speaker:

Darrell Glasco assists social enterprises in determining what, if any, financing strategy best fits their needs. He also assists organizations with fundraising preparation. His work focuses on social enterprises that are trying to create a positive social fabric and safety net, which values people and the environment.

Darrell has a background spanning various roles in industries such as architecture, banking, economic development, finance, urban planning and venture capital. Based on his work with private equity and venture capital funds at Silicon Valley Bank, he developed a thorough understanding of the factors involved in making entrepreneurial and social entrepreneurial enterprises fundable.

About the Impact Speaker Series:

Since 2002, the IMPACT Speaker Series has brought highly successful business leaders from a variety of industries to campus to share their experiences and give advice to students and other entrepreneurs on topics ranging from "building a venture around intellectual capital" to "successful entrepreneurship in large organizations" and "socially responsible leadership". The weekly series provides Georgia Tech students, alumni and the Atlanta business community an opportunity to network and learn from successful entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and notable business and non-profit leaders.

The series is free and open to the public, and reservations are not required.
