Sustainable Atlanta Roundtable

Primary tabs

The Atlanta Community Food Bank, The Lifecycle Building Center and MedShare International are three mission-driven nonprofits that contribute to a more sustainable world in very different ways.

The Atlanta Community Food Bank distributes 44 million pounds of donated food each year to help feed the hungry in Atlanta. The Lifecycle Building Center turns construction waste into materials that can be reused in the construction of a more sustainable built environment. MedShare International delivers surplus medical supplies and equipment (that would otherwise be discarded) to hospitals in 85 nations, many of them disaster relief areas.

Each organization’s commitment to sustainability reaches beyond material reuse and all three organizations practice separate and distinct forms of alchemy. Join us as we learn more about these innovative organizations and the transformational power of reuse.
