“Who Killed Vincent Chin?” with Curtis Chin
Primary tabs
In 1982, at the height of anti-Japanese sentiments, Vincent Chin was murdered in Detroit by two white autoworkers.
The killers were only fined $3000 and three years probation. And for the first time, Asian Americans around the country galvanized to form a real community and movement.
Come out on Wednesday, March 27, to learn more about how the Asian American community grew. Curtis Chin, the producer of the documentary “Vincent Who?” and an active player in today’s AAPI community joins us for a compelling discussion about Asian American activists.
This event is part of Asian American Awareness Month.
