Free STI Testing

Primary tabs

Stamps Health Services is offering free testing for sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

Free Chlamydia and Gonorrhea testing provided by DeKalb Board of Health will be available in Room 230 of Stamps Health Services from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, and Wednesday, April 10.

Testing will be available on a walk-in basis only (no appointments needed). Health Educators from Health Promotion, a unit of Stamps Health Services, will be present to provide assistance. Sexual health information and safer sex supplies will also be available.

This event is a part of the GYT (Get Yourself Tested) campaign being implemented by Health Promotion. The goal of the campaign is to empower Georgia Tech students to make healthy sexual decisions. STI testing is available to eligible students at SHS at a low cost on an ongoing basis.

One in two sexually active young people with get a STI by the age of 25 and most won’t know it. Many STIs, including Chlamydia and Gonorrhea, can be asymptomatic (which means a person could have a STI and not know it). The only way to be sure someone does not have a STI is to be tested or screened.
