Army ROTC Offers Two-Year Academic Scholarships
Primary tabs
For students who have ever considered participation in the armed services, the Georgia Tech Army Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) program may be the answer.
The Army ROTC program has scholarship openings for upperclassmen and graduate students pursuing studies in the science, technology, engineering, or mathematics fields and who plan to graduate in 2015.
Students are encouraged to apply to attend the Leader’s Training Course (LTC), a 30-day paid summer program at Fort Knox, Ky. A student who successfully completes the LTC will be placed into the Military Science program as a junior Army ROTC cadet and earn a two-year academic scholarship.
To qualify for the LTC, students must have a GPA of 2.7 or higher and successfully complete a standard Army Physical Fitness Test.
Those interested in applying to the LTC should contact Georgia Tech’s Recruiting Operations Officer, Michael Ward, at michael.ward@rotc.gatech.edu, with their name, major, date of graduation, and phone number.
The application deadline is Monday, July 1. Students can learn more about Tech’s Army ROTC program at armyrotc.gatech.edu. In addition to the STEM majors, those participating in the Chinese Language Flagship Program should also apply.
