Seán Curran ARTech Residency Performance

Primary tabs

The Georgia Tech Office of the Arts continues its 2012-13 ARTech artist residency program this spring with New York-based choreographer Seán Curran. Through ARTech, one or more performing artists are engaged in extended residencies on the Georgia Tech campus to work with identified faculty and students. Selected as the 2012-2013 ARTech resident artists, choreographer Seán Curran and chamber ensemble ETHEL will explore architecture and non-traditional performance spaces.

Curran’s residency culminates with a site-specific performance of "Interactive Strategies of Relational Aesthetics," a piece created specifically for the residency featuring local dancers Alex Abarca, Alisa Mittin and Erik Thurmond and Seán Curran Company's associate artistic director, Elizabeth Coker Giron. A reception celebrating the residency will begin at 6pm prior to the performance.

The performance will take place on the lower level of Georgia Tech's Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons.
