2012 and 2013 Suddath Award Winner Presentations
Primary tabs
At each year’s Suddath Symposium, a Petit Institute PhD candidate conducting biological or biochemical research at the molecular or cellular level, in any field of study, is selected as the Suddath Award Winner. As part of the award, the winner is invited to give a research presentation to the Petit community.
Although it is too late to RSVP for the lunch reception, the presentations are open to the community. These presentations are a held just prior to the start of the 2013 Suddath Symposium.
This year, we will feature two winners from 2012 and 2013:
2012 Suddath Award Winner
Kathryn Bruce - Advisor, Yury Chernoff, PhD
"Roles of Protein Sequence and Cell Environment in Cross-species Amyloid Transmission and Amyloid Poisoning in Saccharomyces"
2013 Suddath Award Winner
Melissa Kinney - Advisor, Todd McDevitt, PhD
"Engineering Three-dimensional Embryonic Stem Cell Differentiation and Morphogenesis"
