Ideas to Serve Competition "Bootcamp"

Primary tabs

Do you have an innovative idea for creating a better world, solving a problem in your local community, or improving the lives of people in developing countries? If so, come to the 2013 I2S "Bootcamp" and get ready to compete!

The goals of the "Bootcamp" are: to provide prospective participants with details about competition requirements (i.e. how to write an executive summary, what to include in the video submission); to facilitate networks between competitors and mentors who can provide early feedback on ideas; to give participants access to expert information on "metrics of success," and to teach participants the art of delivering an exceptional "elevator pitch."

Successful entrepreneurs and leaders from the nonprofit, social entrepreneurship, and commercial sectors will join us to give helpful advice to all attendees. Everyone is invited to attend, so whether or not you are sure you will participate in the competition, please free to join us!

Food, soft drinks, and water will be provided. Please RSVP at:

About the “Ideas to Serve” Competition

The I2S competition is for current Georgia Tech students and recent alumni who have a very early stage product/service idea or venture concept that is focused on creating a better world.

All great ventures and organizations begin with great ideas. Therefore, I2S is primarily a competition of ideas, where creativity, imagination, and technology are applied to solving some of society’s most challenging social and environmental problems.

For the competition, student teams might design a product or service that focuses on reducing the effects of poverty, alleviating hunger, promoting health and wellness, improving air and water quality, or developing alternate sources of energy, to name a few.
