Georgia Tech's Bioengineering Graduate Program Accepts Nominations for Annual Awards

Georgia Tech's Bioengineering (BioE) graduate program is accepting nominations for its annual best student paper, best PhD thesis and best advisor awards. 

Criteria
Best BioE Student Paper

  • All BioE students are eligible - MUST BE CURRENTLY ENROLLED
  • $1,000 cash and plaque award
  • Nominated by Advisor - nominations must include a letter of support from advisor discussing impact and significance of the work
  • Electronic copy of paper must accompany nomination
  • Paper must be published, in press or accepted in the time frame Jan 1-Dec 31, 2012

        
Best BioE Ph.D. Thesis

  • All BioE students are eligible - DO NOT HAVE TO BE CURRENTLY ENROLLED
  • $1,000 cash and plaque award
  • Nominated by Advisor
  • Nominations must include a letter of support from advisor
  • Electronic copy of Ph.D. thesis must accompany nomination
  • Thesis Certificate of Completion form must be signed by ALL committee members in the time frame Jan 1-Dec 31, 2012


Best BioE Advisor

  • All BioE Program Faculty are eligible
  • $500 discretionary funds and plaque
  • Nominated by graduate student(s) – SUBMIT AN LETTER EXPLAINING WHY YOU ARE NOMINATING FACULTY MEMBER.


Nominations should be submitted to Chris Ruffin in the BioE Office. Nominations will be reviewed by the BioE Faculty Advisory Committee and winners will be announced at the BioE Reception on March 8, 2013 (Recruitment Day).
