Each year, during the holidays, the Women’s Resource Center adopts a family headed by a grandparent raising her grandchildren. There are many reasons grandparents become caregivers and second-time parents. The issues cross socioeconomic and racial lines, but many of the grandparents are on a fixed income and the holidays are difficult for them to manage. This year we are adopting two small families, each headed by a grandmother who is raising a grandson. Details about each family’s wish list are available now.
