Henry Wiencek will be hosting a talk (followed by a book signing) about his latest book, Master of the Mountain: Thomas Jefferson and His Slaves. The book, which has been excerpted for a cover article in Smithsonian Magazine, is generating quite a stir.
About the Author
Henry Wiencek is a prolific author who has written numerous works on various aspects of American history. Wiencek was born and raised in Dorchester, Massachusetts, and he earned an undergraduate degree from Yale University in 1974 with a double major in Russian Literature and Literary Theory. Wiencek has written a dozen books since including The Moodys of Galveston and Their Mansion and An Imperfect God: George Washington, His Slaves, and the Creation of America.
