Primary tabs

The Digital Media Program in School of Literature, Media and Communication, Ivan Allen College, is proud to announce that it will host the sixth biannual Conference of the Digital Games Research Association (DiGRA) which will be held August 26-29, 2013.

DiGRA is the largest academic event in the game studies community, embracing international games researchers spanning a wide range of disciplines, from humanities to social and behavioral sciences, to computer science, to art and design. This will be the first time DiGRA will be hosted by a U.S. institution.

DiGRA 2013 will be held at the historic Georgian Terrace Hotel in Atlanta, August 26-29, immediately preceding Dragon*Con, the largest multi-media, multi-genre fan convention in the U.S. DiGRA 2013 will also be co-located with Women in Games and the Art History of Games.

The conference is being chaired by Celia Pearce, professor in the School of Literature, Media, and Communication, John Sharp, of Parsons The New School for Design, and Helen Kennedy, or University of the West of England.

The call for papers will be released in late November. Visit the conference site for updates.
