"Modulating Immune Response to Enhance Peripheral Nerve Regeneration"
Nerve repair across long gaps remains clinically challenging and despite progress made with scaffolds presenting trophic factors, matching autograft performance has been limited. Here, we modulated the immune response after nerve injury, and defined a new term, regenerative bias, based on the ratio of M1 and M2 macrophage, and showed that rather than the extent of macrophage presence, their specific phenotype regulates the regenerative outcomes.

"Image-based Computational Investigations of Intracranial Aneurysms. 3D Morphology and Implications for Hemodynamics"
Intracranial aneurysms are pathological dilatations of arterial blood vessels, their rupture being a severe clinical event associated with high rate of mortality and morbidity. Patient-specific hemodynamics and 3D vascular morphology have both been associated with the disease development and progression. A computational framework for the image-based investigations of 3D vascular geometry and hemodynamics of cerebral aneurysms is presented.
