Congratulations International Plan graduates!

Primary tabs

This past Saturday, May 5th, ten students graduated with the International Plan (IP) designation, including our first ever Industrial Design and our first Science, Technology and Culture graduates!  We are proud to announce that we have now broken the momentous mark of 100 graduates with the International Plan designation, with seven more graduates slated for summer 2012.  Twenty out of the 26 participating majors have now seen graduates with the IP designator.  Congratulations to our graduates on their accomplishment!

The International Plan is a challenging four-year undergraduate academic program aimed at developing the global competence of students within the context their majors. Internationally-oriented experiences are related to the student's discipline and promote in students a deeper understanding of the global environment than do traditional degree programs.

Students in the program engage in a minimum of twenty-six weeks of international experience (work, research, or study), develop proficiency in a language other than English, and take internationally-oriented coursework, including a capstone course that helps them incorporate their unique global perspective into their senior design project. Students completing the program can expect to be better prepared for the global work environment, be more competitive on the job market, to earn higher salaries in their careers, and to achieve higher overall job satisfaction.
