Summaries

Summary Sentence: Engaging Conversations

Full Summary:  Join this brown-bag-luncheon series on the first Wednesday of each month from noon to 1:00 and find out what faculty are doing to engage Georgia Tech students in learning.

Whether our classes are large or small, technology can be a useful means to connect with our students, find out what they’re thinking, and help them move to the next level of understanding and/or discovery. Join your colleagues and find out how they are using “Compendium” and “Piazza” to engage their students in significant learning experiences.

Learning to Think about Wicked Problems:

Constructing and Navigating Webs of Ideas Using Compendium

Colin Potts, Associate Professor, School of Interactive Computing

Using Piazza during Lecture to Enhance Participation in Large Classes

Chrissy Spencer, Academic Professional, School of Biology
