Join us for an evening of ideas, inspiration, and social innovation at the Ideas to Serve Competition Poster Showcase and Reception. Enjoy appetizers while supporting Georgia Tech student social entrepeneurs as they display their innovative ideas for solving social and environmental problems. Prizes, including a "people's choice award" will be given and six finalists will be selected to present their ideas to judges and a packed auditorium on April 4. We hope to see you there!
Blake Canterbury to Kick-Off Poster Showcase Night
Blake Canterbury is a young social entrepreneur. He is the founder and CEO of beremedy, an organization that uses social media to connect those in need with those who can help. Blake will speak at the IMPACT Series at 4:30 pm, immediately preceding the Poster Showcase. More information about this IMPACT event is available here.
Both the poster showcase and the IMPACT talk are free and open to the public. No reservations are necessary.
More About the Ideas to Serve Competition
I2S is a competition for current Georgia Tech students and recent alumni who have an early stage product or service idea aimed at creating a better world. I2S is primarily a competition of ideas, where creativity, imagination, and technology are applied to the solving some of today’s most challenging social and environmental problems.
Ideas for the competition might focus on reducing the effects of poverty, alleviating hunger, promoting health and wellness, improving air and water quality, or developing alternate sources of energy, to name a few.
