It’s time to purchase a student meal plan! While there are a variety of meal plans offered, the traditional plan with the most value is the Unlimited Plus 5.

“The Unlimited Plus 5 delivers by far the most value for the money. This meal plan also offers a great deal of flexibility in terms of where a student can eat on campus - they are no longer limited to eating only at the dining halls,” said Dori Martin, marketing manager, Georgia Tech Dining.

Students enrolled in the Unlimited Plus 5 meal plan can select from the Student Center Food Court, the Student Center Commons, Quad Café, Jazzman’s, H2O, WestSide and EastSide Markets, as well as the traditional dining halls. Students are given unlimited meals at both Woodruff and Brittain Dining Halls plus five meals, up to $7 each, at other Georgia Tech Dining locations per week. For just $200 more than the Unlimited plan, students receive more than $600 in retail dining during the semester.

Other great meal plans to consider for commuters, upperclassmen and graduate students are the Ramblin’ 400 and Ramblin’ 200. As a student purchases meals throughout the semester, the dollar amount on these plans decline. Plus, students receive a $75 and $25 gift card, respectively, and don’t pay the 8 percent sales tax on the meal purchases which increases their buying power by 30 percent.

“We have found that many of our graduate students use the Ramblin’ 400 and Ramblin’ 200 meal plans as a budget for how much food they allow themselves to purchase on campus per semester. Once the money is gone, they either chose not to spend any more, or they buy another Ramblin plan. Unlike other traditional meal plans, these can be purchased until the middle of March,” says Dori Martin.

We encourage you and your students to review all details in regards to each meal plan to select the one that best fits your students’ needs. Meal plans offered for next semester are as follows:

Unlimited Plus 5 - unlimited meals in the dining halls plus five extra meals a week in other GT Dining locations (no meal period limitations)

Unlimited - unlimited meals in the dining halls (no meal period limitations)

Classic 14 - 14 meals a week at dining halls (meal period limitations)

Basic 10 - 10 meals a week at dining halls (meal period limitations)

Social 75 - 75 meals a semester at dining halls (no meal period limitations)

Ramblin’ 400 - a declining balance meal plan with $475 purchase value

Ramblin’ 200 - a declining balance meal plan with $225 purchase value

Meal plan registration and changes can be made now on the Oscar web site. Upon login, students should proceed to "Campus Services" and then click on "Meal Plan Sign-Up" to make their selection. All meal plan charges will post to the student’s Bursar's account. BuzzCard account funds will be automatically credited to the student’s BuzzCard account no later than the day following the meal plan sign-up.
