As of 2011, 41 percent of Georgia Tech undergraduate students will graduate with an international experience. Georgia Tech Study Abroad Programs span every continent and every academic discipline. Whether it is an exchange program, faculty-led program, or study/work abroad program, the Office of International Education (www.oie.gatech.edu) offers Tech students a variety of ways to expand their horizons and develop intercultural competencies while earning their Georgia Tech degree. As an added bonus, students enrolled in a study abroad program can use their institutional financial aid for studying abroad, and most programs offer in-state tuition for all students (plus a $250 flat fee for non-resident students). In addition, there are some national scholarships available specifically for students who are studying abroad.

Application deadlines for summer 2012, fall 2012, and academic year (AY) 2012-2013 study abroad programs are coming up fast and differ slightly by program. Deadlines and procedures for applying to study abroad can be found under the “Apply Now” section of the OIE website www.oie.gatech.edu.
