Duffy wins Mercer Award from the Ecological Society of America

Dr. Meghan Duffy, Assistant Professor in the School of Biology, has received the 2010 Mercer Award from the Ecological Society of America (ESA). The award is for her 2008 paper in The American Naturalist entitled, "Selective predation and rapid evolution can jointly dampen effects of parasites on Daphnia populations", written with Spencer Hall (Indiana University). The Mercer Award is given annually by the ESA for an outstanding ecological paper by a researcher under 40. Duffy received the award August 2 at the ESA’s 95th Annual Meeting in Pittsburgh.
