Summaries

Summary Sentence: Continuing a conversation that fosters community at all levels of the Institute

Full Summary: To celebrate the start of the spring semester, come be a part of building a community of support at Georgia Tech. This reception for LGBTQ faculty & staff and allies includes light refreshments and conversation about fostering community at all levels of the Institute.

To celebrate the start of the spring semester, come be a part of building a community of support at Georgia Tech. Students have led the way in increasing LGBTQ visibility at Tech, with such efforts as the recent “It Gets Better” video and last year’s campaign in Technique. These student actions are inspiring, and faculty and staff have our own distinct concerns. LGBTQ faculty & staff and allies would like to complement and enrich the community building efforts at Tech. You are invited to join us for a reception of light refreshments and to begin the conversation about fostering community at all levels of the Institute.

Hosted by Cara Gormally (School of Biology) and Anne Pollock (Literature, Communication & Culture), with the generous support of the Office of Institute Diversity.
