Stephanie Jackson, Academic Advisor in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, was voted "Best of State" for her presentation at the 2011 National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) Georgia Drive-In Conference.

NACADA promotes and supports quality academic advising in institutions of higher education to enhance the educational development of students. Through forums for discussion, debate, and the exchange of ideas pertaining to academic advising through numerous activities and publications, NACADA serves as an advocate for effective academic advising. NACADA Sponsored State Drive-In Conferences bring colleagues from across the state to share creative, engaging strategies and practices that promote student success and professional development for academic advisors.

In winning "Best of State" Stephanie received an automatic invitation to represent Georgia and present her topic, "The Challenge of Student Employability: How Advisors Can Help Students Develop Skills and Learn to Self-Manage Their Professional Development" at the NACADA Region 4 Conference in Miami, FL in March 2012. In addition, she received a one-year complimentary membership to NACADA where she is involved with the Advising First-Year Students Interest Group, the Probation/Dismissal/Reinstatement Issues Interest Group and the Advising High Achieving Students Commission.
