Georgia Tech Submits Appeal to NCAA Appeals Committee

Primary tabs

On Sept. 9, Georgia Tech submitted the Institute’s appeal for specific decisions made by the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s (NCAA) Committee on Infractions including vacation of the 2009 ACC Championship game.  Although a specific date for the NCAA hearing has not been determined, an outline of the appeal process and tentative timeline is provided below.

As previously stated by Georgia Tech President G.P. “Bud” Peterson, Georgia Tech is steadfastly committed to the integrity of the Institute's athletics program, including full cooperation with and support of the NCAA. To respect the NCAA process, no one from Georgia Tech will comment on the appeal until Georgia Tech's case is formally presented to the NCAA Infractions Appeals Committee and a decision rendered.
