EMIL- SCS Partners with SALA de Las America's International Logistics Conference

Georgia Tech's Executive Masters in International Logistics & Supply Chain Strategy (EMIL-SCS) program offered through the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISyE) has been invited to again partner with Colombia's Logistics International Congress for the August 3-4, 2011 SALA International Logistics Fair in Bogota, Columbia.

In 2010, during SALA's sixth annual conference, over 11,000 visitors attended the logistics fair & trade show, 130 major national and international companies presented their business, products & services.  More than 600 visitors attended the International Logistics Congress in partnership with Georgia Tech. Georgia Tech and the EMIL-SCS program successfully highlighted the event as the marquee academic institute with four keynote speakers.

This year, three Georgia Tech lecturers will present at the logistics conference.  Maria Rey, Senior Lecturer, Customized Programs in the Supply Chain & Logistics Institute (SCL), will speak on the importance of "Driving Revenue Growth via Supply Chain Strategies", Bill Rouse, ISyE professor and Executive Director of the Tennenbaum Institute, will speak to the topic of "Enterprise Transformation".  EMIL-SCS instructor Lee Marston, Senior Partner Newton Vaureal, LLC will speak on "Supply Chain Innovation with Emerging Technology".  In addition to these speaking engagements, Georgia Tech will also be represented on the trade show conference floor through the EMIL-SCS, ISyE, SCL exhibition booth.

Within the SALA international conference, participants will not only have the opportunity to experience renowned speakers that are international experts in their respective fields, they will also hear the latest trends and innovations within the logistics and supply chain industry.

The SALA Logistics International Logistics Fair & Conference remains the only event in the region that specializes in Supply Chain and Logistics.  Marking its seventh year, the show through is innovative and academic agenda continues to grow and attract visitors and exhibitors from Columbia and its Latin American neighbors.
