Fall 2011 BC Graduate Orientation for the Master of Science in Building Construction and Facility Management program will be held Friday, Aug. 19 from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in Room 1116 of the Klaus Building.  Students will be provided with registration information, an overview of the program tracks, advisement information and course offerings, as well as additional administrative matters; students are asked to refrain from registering for classes until after orientation. Students are encouraged to stay on campus after orientation to secure their Buzz Cards (student IDs), parking permits, books, and handle other Institute business.

Note: Georgia Tech will host a general Graduate Student Orientation on Aug. 16 at the Ferst Center for the Performing Arts. This will be a broad overview for all incoming graduate students; Building Construction-specific information will be provided at the Aug. 19 orientation and will be facilitated by BC faculty and staff.

Location and Parking Information:

• The Klaus Building is located near the School of Building Construction; it is Building 153 in the campus map (in Grid E5).
• You have several parking options.  The closest parking will be in Visitor Lot 4.  You also have the option of the Tech Square deck (#174 on the map) near GT’s Hotel & Conference Center and the Barnes & Noble bookstore.  In addition, you could park at the Student Center Deck, which is Visitor Lot 2 (#54 on the map).  
• For driving directions to campus, visit the GT Parking website. Note that these directions take you to the Student Center Deck.  From the Student Center Deck, proceed east past the Student Center and the construction to your right, and then head north past the CoA Annex Building on your left (where the School of BC offices are).  Klaus will be ahead at the end of the walkway.

 NOTE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS:

There is also a mandatory immigration information session facilitated by the Office of International Education (OIE) for international students.  It is mandatory for international students to attend this immigration information session.  Although it is offered on two different dates the week of August 16th, you will need to attend the August 16th session; the other session offered on August 19th conflicts with BC Graduate Orientation.  Visit the OIE site for more information.
