Primary tabs

Join the Georgia Tech Library in-person Wednesday, April 17 from 4 to 5 p.m.in the Second Floor Classroom, located in Crosland Tower, for Personalize your Data Through a Design Lens: Adobe Tools.

This 90-minute workshop will be split into two parts: In the first section, attendees will be introduced to design principles like contrast, balance, repetition, texture, color, and how to incorporate these elements into your visual layout. Instructors will take you through basic ideation exercises such as creating an imagery board.

The second part of the workshop will allow users to experiment with Adobe tools such as Adobe Express. Users will learn how to quickly resize and optimize images, create custom size documents, remove backgrounds from an image, create custom color palettes, and other common tasks. Attendees will leave with a general understanding of design principles, some imagery they can further work with, and basic image editing techniques.

Who is this workshop tailored for?  Beginner to Intermediate: If you have a design project in progress, take this as a peer learning opportunity.

Attendees are asked to bring a small dataset or a topic you may be researching for a class or job. You will create customized graphics or visuals for these materials. Ideation exercises will be centered around this topic.

For example: Are you designing a poster presentation, creating a small marketing campaign, or showcasing research? If you do not have a topic in mind, we will provide a sample topic or dataset for you.
