Kirill Serebrennikov's 'Leto' (Summer) Film Screening and Discussion

Primary tabs

Outspoken Russian director Kirill Serebrennikov’s stylish musical biopic, Leto (Summer), about Soviet rock legend Victor Tsoi premiered at the Cannes Film Festival as the director was under house arrest. The film depicts the early 1980s when Tsoi, who died in a mysterious car crash in 1990, was just finding his way into the underground Soviet rock scene and Tsoi’s love triangle with the wife of another Soviet rocker Maik. Lots of great music! Discussion to follow.
