Event scores (also called text scores, somatic poetry exercises, performance pieces, etc.) are occasions for reflection, play, and experimentation with presence and interaction. An event score usually consists of a few lines of simple instructions. There is often (but not always) sound, listening, movement, attunement, and relational connection. Since the results of the exercises are unpredictable, there is almost always some amount of surprise, astonishment, and laughter. Participation is always optional.
