2024 Global Media Festival Film Screening: “We Were Kids Back Then” + Live Q&A

Emilio, a young Peruvian living in New York City, is caught off guard when Mary, a Peruvian childhood acquaintance (now his cleaning woman), arrives with her baby at his apartment. The situation tests Emilio’s loyalties as he tries to satisfy his demanding partner, Andrew, and support a compatriot in need.

Global Media Festival

The 2024 Global Media Festival explores themes around a variety of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) The festival will be from Friday, March 29 through Sunday, April 7. All screenings are free and open to the public.

Co-sponsored by the School of Modern Languages; the Atlanta Global Studies Center; the School of Literature, Media, and Communication; and the Brook Byers Institute for Sustainable Systems.
