Heart Health Week - Day 5

Primary tabs

February is Heart Health Month, and Campus Recreation is inviting you to celebrate with us by getting active around campus. Taking care of your heart at any age is important to help prevent heart disease and lower your risk for a heart attack or stroke, and one simple way to support heart health is by being active for at least 30 minutes a day. Our staff and campus partners will be at a different location around campus each day Feb. 5-9 from 12-2 p.m. to talk about heart health and encourage physical activity. You can use each day’s suggested walking route or walk for 30 minutes to meet us at the station.  Walking routes will be posted on the Campus Rec website and social media feeds (follow us @crcatgeorgiatech). The first 100 to visit us each day will get a T-shirt, and each day you participate, you will be entered into a drawing for prizes from Campus Rec and our campus partners. Special thanks to our fellow Student Engagement and Well-Being departments for their support: the Women’s Resource Center, the Wellness Empowerment Center, the Center for Mental Health Care and Resources, and Auxiliary Services.
