Lullwater (Emory) Bird Walk

Join us on the first Friday of the month for a bird walk at Lullwater Preserve!

Where to be and When: We will make use of the lovely free GT/Emory shuttle, departing from Cherry Emerson at 9:55AM, and MARTA Midtown at 9:59AM (see https://www.pts.gatech.edu/shuttles/stinger/). Paid visitor parking is also available at Emory; if you plan to drive, meet us at the Clifton trailhead by 10:25AM.

Who we’ll see: waterfowl, songbirds, woodpeckers, and the heron and kingfisher if we’re lucky! (More info: https://ebird.org/hotspot/L2295109)

What to bring: comfortable shoes you can get dirty, appropriate clothing for the weather.

Nice to have: binoculars, camera, smartphone, eyes, and/or ears.

Will binoculars be provided?: This event is BYOB (bring your own binocs), but you are not required to have binoculars to join.

Will I get back in time for my afternoon class?: The bus should arrive back at Cherry Emerson by 12:35PM.

Where should I park if I’m driving to Emory?: We recommend Michael Street Parking Deck as it is closest to the Clifton trailhead. The details are as follows:
