President Cabrera encourages the Institute community to participate in Georgia Tech's SDG Action and Awareness Week this March 4-8, 2024 for five days of in-person and virtual sustainable development-focused events.  Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Action and Awareness Week invites universities around the world to host events that increase awareness of the SDGs, showcase the work they’re doing, and encourage action. 

This interactive information session is two parts: The first half will provide an overview of what SDG Action & Awareness Week is, ways to engage, and tips from Institute Communications on submitting articles and planning SDG-related campaigns. The second half will be an interactive discussion on event planning and potential event topics with participants. 

Ways to engage during SDG Action and Awareness Week (March 4-8, 2024):

Host an in-person or virtual SDG-focused event during SDG Week (March 4-8).
Using the hashtags #SDGWeek2024 and #SDGsatGT, share your department or organization’s SDG-focused work on social media or in an article.
