Bio
Srijan Kumar is an assistant professor in the School of Computational Science and Engineering. With deep expertise in AI, applied machine learning, and data mining methods, Kumar is at the forefront of developing innovative solutions to safeguard the digital realm. He is dedicated to countering the most pernicious threats on the web, including malicious actors like ban evaders, sockpuppets, and coordinated campaigns, and fraudulent content such as misinformation, hate speech, and fake reviews. Notably, his research on predicting malicious users and combating false information has been adopted in practical applications, including Flipkart and Wikipedia. He also focuses his research on enhancing the security and integrity of AI models, ensuring their trustworthiness and robustness. Prior to joining Georgia Tech’s faculty, he was a visiting researcher at Google AI, a postdoctoral researcher at Stanford University, and a Ph.D. student at the University of Maryland.
