GTEC will be hosting an Energy Chat on Wed. Oct 4th at 5:30PM in Skiles 255 with Prof. Jung-Ho Lewe!

Dr. Lewe is a certified energy management professional (EMP) and a subject matter expert in physics-based modeling, data engineering / science for district energy systems and smart energy solutions as well as transportation engineering. He studies the intersection between Data Science and Energy. He runs Georgia Tech’s EnergyWatch program, which applies advanced data analytics and modeling to allow Georgia Tech to meet its objectives for energy efficiency and sustainability. Some of his lab’s work with data science can be viewed on GT’s Utility Map, and more data visualization can be found here.

Dr. Lewe is also the Co-PI of the Georgia Energy Shed Project; this project will create a new metropolitan energy planning process to evaluate the social, economic, equity, as well as technical impacts of various future energy scenarios within the Atlanta area.
