SiliconJackets Informational Meeting

Primary tabs

SiliconJackets is a new club at Georgia Tech with the goal of making chip design, verification, and physical design more accessible to students. We will be hosting this event to recruit new members to join one of our 3 subteams.

Design: Get involved with the process of turning ideas into code. The design team writes the SystemVerilog that we use to describe the functionality of our chip. Design team members will create synthesizable code that eventually becomes the physical chip.

Verification and Emulation: The verification and emulation team will help to make sure the sure that the simulated functionality of the chip matches the specification at multiple points in the design cycle (behavioral, post-synthesis, and post-PnR). This team also works on both software and hardware emulations creating the software golden model of our design, and managing the flow for FPGA based hardware emulation.

Physical Design: Take our work from code to hardware. This team is responsible for the physical design flow of the chip tuning parameters and constraints to make sure the physical representations of our designs perform the way we want them to.

Please join us on the 27th in to learn more about what we aim to do!
