Newly hired students without a Social Security number who need to submit an application, can meet with the Social Security Administration (SSA) on campus at the Administrative Services Center (ASC) located at 755 Marietta Street, NW, Atlanta, Ga. 30318 on the following days:

• Monday, Aug. 21 | 9 a.m. to noon and 12:30 to 4 p.m.  ​
• Tuesday, Aug. 22 | from 9 a.m. to noon and 12:30 to 4 p.m. ​
• Friday, Aug. 25 | 9 a.m. to noon and 12:30 to 4 p.m.   ​

Complete these steps before meeting with the SSA. ​

1. Request OIE Social Security Support Letter – Submit the “OIE On-Campus Employment Letter Request” e-form in iStart (F-1s & J-1s only) ​
2. Request Department Employment Letter (F-1 students only) ​
3. Complete the online Social Security Number Application at secure.ssa.gov/ossnap/public/landingOSsnap ​
4. Complete Form SS-5 at ssa.gov/forms/ss-5.pdf  ​
5. Verify mailing address at tools.usps.com/zip-code-lookup.htm?byaddress   ​
