Michney's Redlining Paper Wins Prize for Best Scholarly Journal Article

Assistant Professor Todd Michney's article "The Roots of Redlining: Academic, Governmental, and Professional Networks in the Making of the New Deal Lending Regime" won the 2021 Catherine Bauer Wurster Prize for best scholarly journal article from the Society for American City and Regional Planning History.

Michney, a faculty member in the School of History and Sociology, co-authored the paper with LaDale Winling at Virginia Tech. It first appeared in the June 2021 issue of The Journal of American History.
