Get to know In the Park founder Cherie Lum, who has joined the summer 2022 cohort of CREATE-X Startup Launch.

1. Tell us about your team.

My name is Cherie Lum. I am a team of one and I am a master's student at Georgia Tech focusing on computer science. 

2. Tell us about your startup.

In The Park is a startup that connects like-minded individuals in the top 50 cities. In the end, we bring relationships back to reality! 

3. How does it feel to be a part of the summer 2022 cohort of Startup Launch?

It feels incredible. I have always wanted good mentors, access to business information and the opportunity to work on my own startup with other brilliant entrepreneurs. 

4. What made you want to participate in the 12-week summer program?

I wanted to give myself the opportunity to learn how to scale and market my business. I would also like to mentor other young women to be savvy entrepreneurs one day. And lastly, I'd love to make my family proud – to be the first entrepreneur in my family would be an honor.

5. What are you most looking forward to as a Startup Launch participant?

I'm looking forward to being around other motivated entrepreneurs and experienced mentors in the startup field.
