8th Georgia Tech-Emory International Conference on Bioinformatics

Primary tabs

From Genomics to Synthetic Biology

This year, Georgia Tech and Emory continue the tradition of biennial International Conferences in Bioinformatics, bringing together leading, world-renowned researchers in genomics and bioinformatics to present recent advances in the field and to discuss open problems. The 8th Conference called "From Genomics to Synthetic Biology" will cover the latest developments in the field from genomics to systems biology.

Also continuing the tradition that began in 2009, the conference will feature a prestigious Margaret O. Dayhoff lecture:

Steven Henikoff, PhD, is an Investigator of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, and a Member of the Basic Sciences Division of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. He is a Member of the US National Academy of Sciences, and serves as co-Editor-in-chief of the journal Epigenetics and Chromatin. His laboratory studies histone variants, DNA methylation, epigenetic inheritance and centromere evolution, and develops tools for epigenomics and functional genomics.  Visit Henikoff Website
