SCPC presents: Henna Ki Raat!

Primary tabs

Looking to experience first-hand one of the most widely celebrated traditions of South Asian and Middle Eastern culture, just in time for Holi? Come spend the evening doing mehndi - or “henna” - and getting to learn more about the intricacies of its history at SCPC’s Henna Ki Raat! Every attendee gets their own henna cone to free-hand or stencil out designs on themselves. Plus, be sure to try your hand at “rangoli”, the custom of using colored sand to draw patterns on provided poster boards, and Diya (lamp) painting! And if you're looking for a good way to remember the night, stop by the photo booth for a quick picture!

There will be one two-hour long session from 6-8 pm on March 15th at Midtown V. Tickets will go live on Campus Tickets starting on March 14th at 9 AM, so don’t miss the opportunity to show off your hidden henna talents!

Stoked and sure you can make it? Reserve a ticket in advance via the link bit.ly/campustickets. Uncertain about your plans that day or debating coming? Tickets will still be available the day of at the door as we accept walk-ups.

SCPC strongly encourages students to wear masks at our events to ensure the protection of the GT community to use. We recommend that all attendees get their asymptomatic COVID-19 testing on campus at least 72 hours prior to attending the event. For more details, go to: http://health.gatech.edu/coronavirus/testing. For any questions, please email arts@scpc.gatech.edu.

Hope to see you there!
