Welcoming Gabriel Kahane to Campus

Georgia Tech Arts is working to bring the Georgia Tech community into conversation with each other, and to connect with the ideas explored by our spring 2022 artist-in-residence, composer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Gabriel Kahane.

In creating his newest work, Magnificent Bird, which he will perform at Georgia Tech on April 4, Gabriel considered the role that technology plays in our lives, and what happens when we no longer consider why we’re using it. Communicating through paper and pen is a great opportunity to reflect and connect, and A Note from Me to You gives our students that chance.

Campaign to Connect

For six weeks in January and February, Georgia Tech Arts will partner with a different group on campus to uplift our community. Students are encouraged to visit one of our pop-up tables to say hi, learn about our upcoming events, and write or draw a note of support to a fellow Yellow Jacket. They're guaranteed to get a cheerful message in return - everyone who writes a note, gets a note!

We hope you’ll encourage your student to find A Note from Me to You on campus every Tuesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. through February 15. For exact locations and more information, follow us on social media @gatecharts, or visit the Campaign to Connect website. The students (and Georgia Tech Arts staff) have been having so much fun - check out our Instagram stories and see for yourself!
