Searching for Life in the Atacama Desert, the Driest, Oldest and Most Martian Place on Earth

The Atacama Desert in northern Chile is by far the driest and oldest desert on Earth, showing a unique combination of environmental extremes which explains why the Atacama has been investigated as a Mars analog model for almost twenty years. In this talk, I will share how it is to work in this magnificent desert, and the lessons learned on the limits of habitability of planet Earth.
