Plan, Design, Develop and Implement Videos for Your Class presented by CTL and the Georgia Tech Library: Day 1 (Virtual)

Primary tabs

Join us through April for a series focused on planning, designing, developing and implementing videos for your classes.

Presented by the Center for Teaching and Learning and the Georgia Tech Library, this four-part series will take place both online and in the Teaching Studio, located on the fourth floor of Price Gilbert.

You’ll get the chance to gather ideas, tour the new Teaching Studio, and develop a video to use in your course.

Day 1

When you create videos for your class, there are many factors to consider. What topics do you want to develop? What is your timeline? What elements do you want to include in the video? What resources are available to support your efforts?

In this workshop, we will discuss strategies you can use to analyze your needs. We’ll explore different visual elements, instructional activities, and content structure of videos. Finally, we will examine the implementation of videos, including where to publish them and the instructional activities surrounding the videos. By the end of the workshop, participants will have a better understanding of what goes into the creation of quality video content and have developed an idea for a video of their own that they wish to further develop in other workshop sessions.
